Basic characteristics and application areas of silica

    Silica, also known as silica, is an amorphous silicate material. Compared with traditional black carbon black, white carbon black has the following significant characteristics: high specific surface area, uniform particle size distribution, excellent silica gel enhancement effect, etc. Based on these properties, silica has wide applications in many fields, such as:

  - Rubber industry: As a rubber filler, silica can improve the physical properties and processing properties of rubber, and increase the strength, hardness and wear resistance of rubber products.

  - Plastic industry: White carbon black can be used as a plastic reinforcing agent to improve the strength, toughness and anti-aging properties of plastics. It can also improve the gloss and surface finish of plastic products.

  - Electronic industry: The application of silica in electronic materials is mainly reflected in semiconductor packaging materials, insulating materials and conductive materials.

  - Chemical industry: White carbon black is widely used in catalysts, adsorbents, anti-scaling agents, pigments and dyes.
