Typical parameters of pigment carbon black

Blackness (reflectivity) - The blackness of carbon black is usually represented by the data measured by a "reflectometer," which in most cases also reflects the original particle size of the carbon black. It is one of the important parameters for measuring the market price of the carbon black. The lower the reflectivity, the higher the blackness of the carbon black, and the smaller the particle size. The opposite is also true.

Volatility - The number of oxygen-containing groups carried on the surface of carbon black, which reflects the surface physical properties, electrochemical properties, and application properties of the carbon black, is also one of the important parameters for measuring the market price of the carbon black.

Structure - The structure of carbon black is a representation of the degree of branching of the carbon black particle aggregates and represents the degree of porosity inside the carbon black. It is usually represented by the oil absorption value (DBP absorption value).
