1.1 The concept of carbon black

Carbon black, also known as carbon black, is a kind of amorphous carbon, light, loose and very fine black powder, which can be understood as ash at the bottom of the pot. It is the product of incomplete combustion or thermal decomposition of coal, natural gas, heavy oil, fuel oil and other carbon-containing substances under the condition of insufficient air.

1.2 Preparation method of carbon black

my country's carbon black mostly uses coal tar, anthracene oil, and ethylene tar as raw material oil, and the purchase cost accounts for about 80% of the total cost. Coal tar is the main raw material oil for most carbon black enterprises.

The classic oil furnace method to produce carbon black is to supply the raw material with an appropriate amount of air, burn and crack at high temperature in the reaction furnace, the temperature in the high temperature zone of the reaction furnace is 1200-1900 degrees, and the generated carbon black is suspended in the flue gas. Usually, water is used as the reaction terminator of the carbon black raw material, after cooling, the carbon black is separated from the exhaust gas by a separator or filter, and finally granulated in a granulator.

1.3 Classification and main application of carbon black

The classification and use of carbon black are very wide, mainly including:

  1. N330

The most widely used high wear-resistant carbon black.

Mainly used in tire tread, cord rubber, sidewall and various rubber products.

  2. N220

Suitable for all kinds of rubber.

It is mainly used for tread rubber of truck tires and passenger tires, and rubber products that require high strength and high wear resistance.

  3. N550

Suitable for natural rubber and various synthetic rubbers.

It is mainly used in tire cord rubber, sidewall, inner tube and extruded and calendered products.

  4. N660

Suitable for all kinds of rubber.

Mainly used for tire and wheel curtain tape, inner tube, bicycle, rubber hose, cable, footwear and calendered products, model products, etc.
