GRI is significantly increasing its efforts to incorporate Recycled Carbon Black (RCB) into compounding and specialty tire production as the tire manufacturing industry shifts towards more sustainable practices, products, and eco-friendly solutions. The recent accomplishments of GRI underscore a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation within our industry.

The utilization of Recycled Carbon Black (RCB) has gained momentum as a promising alternative to traditional fossil-based virgin carbon black. RCB presents a unique opportunity to reduce the environmental impact of tire manufacturing while preserving essential physical properties that ensure the safety, strength, and durability of specialty tires.

Dr. Mahesha Ranasoma, CEO of GRI, commented on GRI's decision to significantly reduce the use of virgin carbon black and instead embrace RCB for their premium material handling tire ULTIMATE GREEN XT for forklifts and the radial agriculture tires GREEN XLR EARTH series. He stated, "This endeavor goes beyond traditional tire development and considers the full lifecycle impact of the product from manufacturing to end-of-life disposal, showcasing GRI's visionary approach to making a positive impact on our planet."

GRI has taken proactive steps to promote the adoption of RCB and has partnered with premium suppliers for RCB sourcing. These partnerships demonstrate GRI's commitment to obtaining top-tier materials that meet the stringent standards of the tire industry. GRI's use of RCB reflects a strategic vision aimed at aligning tire production with responsible manufacturing practices, seamlessly integrating recycled materials into tire compounds, and transforming the way tires are manufactured and consumed.
