PCBL enters European market with subsidiary headquartered in Belgium

  According to the "European Rubber Journal" report, India's Philips Carbon Black Company (PCBL) established a European subsidiary called "PCBL Europe SRL" in Belgium in April this year in order to promote market research and trade in Europe. Mumbai-based carbon black manufacturer PCBL aims to conduct research and development, manufacturing, marketing and trading activities of specialty carbon black and other chemicals within the subsidiary.

  Previously, PCBL had established an innovation center in the Ghislenghien region of Belgium. The core of its R&D work is to "be market-oriented, continuously explore and innovate, expand and enhance the value of products."

  According to PCBL’s report for the second fiscal quarter ended June 30, the company’s other business progress showed that they have completed the first phase of the specialty carbon black production expansion project at the Mundra plant in Gujarat, India. , and was put into operation in July. It can currently produce 20,000 tons of special carbon black per year. With the completion of the second phase of the project, the production capacity is expected to increase by another 20,000 tons.

  The second quarter financial report released as of July 12 showed that PCBL's sales fell 8% year-on-year to 12.9 billion Indian rupees (approximately 144 million euros). Profit before tax increased slightly to 1.6 billion Indian rupees (approximately 17.9 million euros).

  PCBL has further consolidated its presence in the European market by setting up a subsidiary in Belgium and an innovation center in the Geelongian region, laying a solid foundation for the company's future development.
