Tokai Carbon of Japan and French innovative semiconductor design and manufacturing company Soitec have recently announced a strategic partnership to jointly develop and supply polycrystalline silicon carbide (SiC) substrates. Under the terms of the collaboration agreement, Tokai Carbon will supply 150mm and 200mm polycrystalline SiC substrates to Soitec for its renowned "SmartSiC" wafers.
